Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 am–9 pm. It is closed on Tuesday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Noodle Works at (817) 768-7000; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Southlake is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Southlake is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

A really solid option in an unsuspecting location. I wouldn’t expect a good Asian noodle restaurant in between Southlake and Keller, but here we are. I came in for lunch on the weekend. Service was good. We got sat quickly and food came out promptly. I had the soup dumplings and the chicken fried noodles. Despite the hype, the soup dumplings were so-so. I probably wouldn’t order them again. The noodles were fantastic though. I also got to try the Cantonese rice noodles from the person I was with, and those were also fantastic. Would absolutely come back here again for the noodles.

I stopped in for a quick lunch after coming across this restaurant on social media, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. I ordered the spicy wontons, and they were outstanding—perfectly crafted with incredible flavor and texture in every bite. If I had been dining with someone, I definitely would have tried a few more dishes from the menu. The service was equally impressive. My server was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even better. My meal came to around $17, which felt like a great value for the quality of food and service. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend—10/10!

First time here and the food was actually good. We ordered the Dandan noodles, braised beef noodle soup, red pork belly (does not come with rice, $1/bowl of white rice). The meats were very tender and noodles were soft and bouncy. The crab rangoon and shrimp dumplings were also good. I loved their chili oil, too. The service was fast and very attentive. The place is kept very clean and looks really nice on the inside. We would come back again.

Long line? No wait? Long line with no wait!? That’s exactly what happened. We showed up and there was a line already penetrating the front door and building up outside. No big deal though, because once that line was done and over with, our service was amazing! Our waitress quickly apologized and went right to work. She took our drink orders and didn’t miss a beat; we took a couple of extra minutes to menu browse. After quickly talking smack about whose plate I’m sharing, we placed our order and the waitress was right back at it. Even though the house was full and the staff had to call in back up, our food came out quickly and perfectly and it had great aestheticism and smells that you wanted to stain your clothes with. So long story short: the line was long but it was an easy wait. Once we were sat, we had zero rush from the staff (and the manager, maybe the owner, still had time to come out and thank each table) to order, while the food came out quickly by a team that knew what to do, when the doin needed done.

Absolutely incredible experience! This place truly stands out for its authenticity. The xiao long bao is a must—perfectly delicate with rich, flavorful broth inside. The spicy stir-fried dry pot is packed with bold Sichuan flavors and just the right level of heat, and the beef noodles are comforting, hearty, and deeply satisfying. If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food that delivers on both spice and tradition, this spot is absolutely can’t-miss. I’ll definitely be coming back!
